Penn College NOW Scholarships

The information below was received from Penn College concerning scholarships for Penn College NOW students. Please read carefully:

We wanted to take a moment to address our Penn College NOW scholarships and the steps for students to apply for 2020-2021.

Students who have completed at least one Penn College NOW course prior to 2019-2020 and students who enrolled in at least one Penn College NOW course in 2019-2020 are eligible to receive one of our scholarships for 2020-2021 at Penn College. Even if a student must drop a course as a result of circumstances surrounding the K-12 shutdown, that student is still eligible.

We are extending the deadline for scholarship application to May 15, 2020.

Furthermore, beginning in 2020-2021, our $4,000 scholarship is now renewable for four years for one student each year, pending eligibility. We also still offer ten $1,000 (non-renewable) scholarships and one $3,100 scholarship.

Always feel free to reach out and recommend a student who is particularly deserving!

Students must complete the following steps by May 15, 2020 in order to be eligible:
Complete an application to Penn College for fall 2020 enrollment.
Meet placement testing requirements.
* Note that placement testing is available online from 4/29 – 5/9 in our current cycle.
Make the tuition deposit to confirm enrollment.
Complete the scholarship application, available here. Students should write the brief essay included in the app.
* Note that one application covers every scholarship at Penn College, so completing it puts a student in the running for every scholarship for which he/she is eligible (including, but not limited to, all Penn College NOW scholarships above).
Complete the FAFSA.
* General financial aid information, including information about the FAFSA, grants, loans, and changes and extensions due to COVID-19, are available here.
