On May 15th, Evangelical’s Medical Mobile stopped at the SUN Area Technical Institute in New Berlin. Health Professions students took the opportunity to learn what the Mobile’s purpose is. Students toured the unit while Jamie Caputo, Medical Mobile Coordinator, spoke to them. Students believe the Medical Mobile will be very helpful to the community and surrounding areas. It will offer people the chance to have a visit with a Doctor even if they don’t live close to a Medical Facility. The Medical Mobile will travel to outer rural and lower income areas, as well as, Amish Communities. Staff with provide Primary Care, Yearly Exams for Females and Cardiovascular Check-ups. The Mobile was funded by donations which speaks volumes about people in the Susquehanna Valley.
