Instructions for Students and Parents - Microsoft Teams
Career Center (Guidance and Co-op)
Dear SUN Tech Students and Parents,
It is our pleasure to welcome the class of 2023 to SUN Tech. We are extremely excited to have students back on campus and filling our programs and hallways with energy and enthusiasm for learning. It is our mission to help every student feel welcomed, connected, and part of the SUN Tech family! Additionally, we will strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her technical and professional skills training throughout the year. We believe that all SUN Tech students should graduate occupationally and academically ready to enter the workforce, serve in the armed forces, and/or pursue additional post-secondary training opportunities.
We hope that you will find our website helpful and informative. Throughout the year, we will share additional resources, information, and announcements below. We will also share additional information pertaining to important events or activities via daily announcements, student emails, or the SUN Tech website.
In conclusion, we are honored to serve as your Career Resource Center team here at SUN Tech. It is truly a privilege to be part of a learning community where parents, instructors, support staff, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that promote and support personal growth along with success. Please feel free to contact us at 570-966-1031 ext.113, via email, or stop in for a visit anytime!
Sincerely,
Erik Strawser

The Resource Staff are committed to helping you during this trying time. We will be reaching out to each of you and want you to feel comfortable reaching out to us as well at the email or numbers below. We are here to help you with school work, answer questions, help you plan for your futures, and also provide resources for additional supports as many of us are experiencing difficulties outside of school at this time as well.
While our office hours are those times that we will be logged into our computers and available, we often check emails at other times when possible and will do our best to get back in touch with you quickly, if we are not immediately available.
In addition, there will be links available that may be used as resources for you both in your schoolwork and also as you plan for your futures.
If you normally work with Ms. Chalmers, please text "@wchalm" to 81010 to be added to any messages I send out via the Remind App. This is also a great way to reach Ms. Chalmers. Your messages will only be seen by Ms. Chalmers, not by other students.
The program aides will also be available to offer support to you during the coming weeks. Their office hours will be listed below and they will be in touch with you in the coming weeks to offer support or simply check in.

As we know more about assignments, the school calendar, and other requirements, we will remain in touch. If you have a preferred method for us to reach you, the student, please call or send an email with that information to Ms. Chalmers or Mr. Metzger.
