SUN Tech High School Seniors Help Continue the Tradition of Art Education

2014 Ad Art class in their Dress Down Day T-Shirts

2014 Ad Art class in their Dress Down Day T-Shirts

The SUN Tech Advertising Art & Design students wore their dress down day t-shirts in support of the Sunbury YMCA Art Center. Jacob Schell, bottom left, created the winning design using Adobe Illustrator and screen printed the shirts with the help of several classmates. The first and third Friday of each month, students can pay $2 to wear the t-shirt with jeans instead of the required uniform that they normally wear. Mary Jo Tavares, director of the Art Center uses the money, which we donate at the end of the school year, to pay for art classes for children who show an interest and talent in art but may not have the money to pay for classes.

You can see the t-shirt design on our Facebook page.
