The Advertising Art & Design students spent the day in Lewisburg on a field trip to help out with the Art Festival and peruse the many creative businesses in town, such as the Bucknell Gallery, The Urban Post and The Open Door Gallery. They also checked out the Scholastic Art Exhibit at the Packwood House Museum. Congratulations go out to Leah Marquette for receiving a first place award in the drawing category and to Joseph Colyer who received a third place in Computer Design & Graphics. Zachary Bronish, Dawn Franck, Krista Paige and Leann Yerger also had artwork that was chosen for display at the gallery. Rose Nissley, 2012 graduate of the program received a first place award for a pencil drawing in the adult category! Keep your eyes and ears open for these up and coming artists in our local area- there are sure to be many great opportunities in store for them in their future creative endeavors!
